Project Description

ROSALIA TERRACE

TWO TEENAGERS, TWO EN-SUITE BEDROOMS, ONE BEAUTIFUL GEORGIAN TERRACED HOME.

Of course original features don’t matter much to teenagers, so while I considered the origins of this home, it didn’t influence my final design. The siblings, a brother and sister, were open to my ideas so I focused on introducing more colour, print and vibrancy to the spaces. For the girl, I had to work with an existing black bedroom furniture set, so inevitably, I added pink! A pretty gallery wall, tropical wallpaper and a beautifully upholstered tub chair helped create a modern boudoir. The ensuite follows on from the pink theme with a solid oak pink cabinet, complemented by striking encaustic wall tiles and a Carrera marble counter top.

In the boys room, I purposefully avoid blue so a subtle khaki green and burnt orange contrast the more subtle textures and tones of the rest of the room. The bathroom also features a solid oak cabinet, as well as a classical encaustic floor tile pattern and a granite countertop.
